More than two dozen Mad Birders and friends gathered at the Pratt Refuge on Saturday August 30th for the annual Fred and Chris Pratt Memorial Birdwalk. Birders explored the meadow, the road, a new patch cut in the forest and a newly cleared mountain trail. Coffee and pastries were eagerly consumed and Pipit stories swapped at the Pratt Cabin afterwards. Many thanks to Vermont Land Trust for their work building trails and stewarding the conservation of the Refuge, now over 500 acres of land in Duxbury.
