Meet at the Big Picture Theater Parking Lot at 6:30 AM for a walk along a route proposed for a nature trail along the wetlands. Wear waterproof, sturdy footwear. 1 1/2 hours
Ward Hill Morning Walk – Saturday, June 14, 2008
Fred and Chris Pratt (Team Pipit!) often make an early morning walk on Ward Hill where there are a good number of warblers as well as other nesting species. Meet at Shaws at 7:30 AM to carpool to Ward Hill, or get to Ward Hill to begin birding at 7:45 AM.
Red-winged Blackbirds Signal Spring
Despite the snow and wind, the male Red-winged Blackbirds have arrived in the Valley and across the state. Bridget says blackbirds are the true harbingers of spring. Rejoice!!

Mad River Path, Meadow Road, Saturday, May 10, 2008
Meet at Meadow Road parking lot for the Mad River Path at 7:30 AM. This will be a two hour walk with lots of migrants and summer residents visible in the varied habitats we will explore. We hope to see American Redstarts, Warbling Vireos, Bobolinks, Savannah Sparrows, many more species.

Meet at the Tremblay Road parking lot for Mad River Path, we will bird north along the Mad River Path. We will start birding at 6:30AM. We may see warblers, vireos, kingbirds, sparrows and much more along the river. This will be a 1 1/2 hour walk. Dress in layers with sturdy footwear.
